Dr. Amit Samarth holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from the prestigious Indira Gandhi Government Medical College. Fuelled by his passion for public health, he further pursued a Master's degree in Public Health from the renowned Johns Hopkins University - School of Public Health, where he honed his understanding of healthcare and its impact on communities.

Alongside his medical pursuits, Dr. Samarth has made significant contributions as the Director of Miles N Milers, TigerMan Sports, and ProHealth Foundation. These organizations have played a pivotal role in promoting fitness, wellness, and sportsmanship, while also advocating for the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Not only is Dr. Amit Samarth an accomplished cyclist, but he has also taken up the mantle of Bicycle Mayor of Nagpur, assuming a prominent role in encouraging cycling as a sustainable mode of transportation and promoting the overall well-being of the community.

Dr. Samarth's cycling achievements are truly awe-inspiring. In March 2023, he set a world record time in the Race Across India, covering a staggering 3651 kilometers from Srinagar to Kanyakumari in just 6 days and 23 hours. This feat not only earned him the title of Asian UltraCycling Champion but also solidified his position as an exceptional athlete.

In 2017, Dr. Samarth emerged as a solo finisher in the grueling Race Across America, conquering an astonishing 5000 kilometers in just 11 days and 21 hours. This remarkable achievement showcased his unwavering determination and resilience.

Another remarkable feat was Dr. Samarth's participation in the Red Bull Trans Siberian Extreme race in 2018. He conquered the world's longest bicycle race, spanning 9100 kilometers across Russia, in a span of 25 days. Dr. Samarth was among the select few individuals globally who successfully completed this arduous challenge, cementing his reputation as an extraordinary athlete.

Furthermore, Dr. Samarth broke records with his expeditions on the Golden Quadrilateral Highway of India. In 2021, he completed the 6000-kilometer journey in an astonishing 13 days and 9 hours, earning himself a WUCA record and a Guinness World Record.

In November 2021, he conquered the 1021-kilometer distance from New Delhi to Nagpur in a mere 39 hours, setting a World UltraCycling Association record. In 2022, he continued his phenomenal performance by completing the 1131-kilometer journey from Chennai to Nagpur in just 44 hours and 34 minutes, securing yet another World UltraCycling Association record.

Dr. Amit Samarth has proven his mettle in various cycling competitions. He emerged as the winner of the Deccan Cliffhanger Race, a grueling 650-kilometer cycle race from Pune to Goa, in 2017. Additionally, he has completed three full Ironman races and an impressive sixteen Ironman 70.3 races.
